About Us

Michelle

Thanks to her past leadership roles, Michelle gained plenty of knowledge, experience, and skills over the years. Then the breast cancer diagnosis made a real change in her life.  "I still want to contribute but how?"  This is one of the most challenging aspects of life after cancer. Crafting during recovery transitioned into a passion. A passion that we'd like to share and make a real change in other people's lives.

Patty

Patty has become a leader at Polestar Boutique working with both our clients and artists.  Her love of Lego has transitioned her role into Master Builder.  If you have build questions she is your go to person.   She's a natural teacher and fluent in English, Italian and French.

Patty's sister, Franca, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1993.  Franca lost her battle in 2017.  She left us too soon and left behind her only daughter Katia.  These days Patty tends to enjoy life as much as possible splitting her time between Canada and Italy.

Joe

Joe, also known as our "Jack" of all trades.   On weekends, you can find Joe at  The 400 Market sharing his love for all things LEGO.  But this booth is about more than just bricks—it’s about building hope.  Joe, a proud supporter of Gilda's Club Simcoe Muskoka, a wonderful organization that provides completely free social and emotional cancer support to individuals and families in our region.  A portion of our sales  goes directly to Gilda's Club to help fund their support groups, wellness programs, and community resources.

Joe lost his wife, Daniella, to Breast Cancer in 2014.  After years of fighting she succumbed peacefully at Mount Saini Hospital.  Joe and his boys know first hand how this diagnosis affects the mental health on the whole family.  Supporting mental health through volunteering at Polestar Boutique, helps him feel like he is giving back.
